That would... what's the word? R00L!

It is $210 if you can send the check soon. $220 cash if you want to just
show up on game day. I still need to know who is planning to come.

Make the check for $210 payable to: Ken Kubey
and send it to:

  Ken Kubey MS 50-1-504
  Silicon Graphics
  1140 E. Arques Ave.
  Sunnyvale CA 94085

Here's all the standard info:

The Annual Rec Gambling Entry Tournament
           ----------------------------------------

or as most people know it, TARGET.

Who: 20-30 rec.gamblers
When: Friday, June 12th, 2009. 12:30 p.m.
Where: Mirage Poker Room, Las Vegas
What:

 No-limit Hold'em
$200 entry fee - (all money goes to prizes, dealers, table cost, etc.)
Winner gets $1500 which *must* be used to enter a WSoP event or
single table satellite(s) or Super satellite(s).

 Miracle clause #1:
If the winner wins the satellite, he *must* then play in a WSoP event.

 Miracle clause #2:
If the winner wins any money, he will pay a total of 15% of his winnings
to all of the other entrants in the original tournament.
(If you win $1,000,000, you pay $150,000 total to the other players.)
All participants are responsible for their own tax liabilities.

 Miracle clause #3:
If the winner wins more than $10,000 in a WSoP event with a entry fee
of less than $10,000, $10,000 of those winnings may be used to enter the
WSoP $10,000 Championship with the TARGET players retaining a 15% stake.
TARGET players also get 15% of the money not used to enter the main event.

Rules

o No deals involving the $1500 prize(s) - we play until we have winners.
o Deals involving the *other* prizes are allowed.
o There may also be cash prizes 3rd, 4th, and 5th places.
o If the winner enters a Super satellite and does not use up all of the
money in a losing effort, he/she may keep the lesser of $300 or
half of the remaining money. The rest will carry over for the
prize pool of TARGET 2010. This gives the winner incentive to
try to win *and* to not waste the last $200-$400.
o If the winner wins his way into the $10,000 main event through satellites,
he may keep any remaining money from the original $1500, but the group
retains 15% of the winners action in the main event.
o If the winner chooses to add in his own $500 to play in a $2000 event,
he is then obligated to pay back 11.25% of his winnings instead of the
usual 15%. If he adds $1500 to play in a $3000 event, then it's 7.5%.
o Entries to TARGET won in TARGET satellites are transferable if the
winner cannot make it to Las Vegas, but are non-refundable.

o $10 late fee for anyone signing up after April 30th (postmark).

More Rules!

o $20 late fee for anyone signing up after June 5th.
o No smoking.
o No headphones.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Brunch att 11am. Craps 5ish at the Gold Coast.
