It will be Friday, June 4th. Time and place TBD, but probably at the Mirage and probably around 12:30 p.m. A couple of my favorite people can't make that date. Sucks. Please reply if you are interested in playing... A. I'll be there (90%+) B. I am pretty likely to make it (70%+) C. Definite Maybe (50%ish) D. Might be able to come (20%+) E. Tiny chance I can make it if I kill my SO and quit my job (1%+) Thanks! Message-ID: <201003122348.PAA44983@summit.engr.sgi.com> Hi all, I'm negotiating with the Mirage. Good news: They can probably run TARGET again. Bad news: Standard room rates for June 4th and 5th are $229 per night! I'll see if I can get a better rate, but I wanted to warn you all that you might want to stay somewhere else. I checked some other hotels and they have better rates for that weekend. The Mirage must have some big event going that weekend. More news next week. Message-ID: <201003152237.OAA45148@summit.engr.sgi.com> Hi all, The Mirage no longer issues $15 comps to tournament players. Boo. But the good news is that they charge $15 less per player. Yay. So it is pretty much a wash money-wise. I'm asking to see if we can get a group line-pass so we don't have to wait in line with the hoi polloi. Big question... (and I reserve final say) Should we... A. Keep the buy-in at $200 and toss the extra $15 into the prize pool? B. Lower the buy-in to $185. C. Keep the buy-in at $200 and I will hand each player a special Lincoln-Hamilton comp to be used for the TARGET brunch or whatever. Being mentally ill, my vote is for C. What do you all say? P.S. Also working on hotel poker-rate. No answer yet.
